Description du contenu de l'enseignement
What is research in English studies? In this course we will look at basic research work in the disciplines of literature, civilisation, linguistics, and translation studies (traductologie). The aim will be to get an idea of the problems and concepts proper to each discipline and how they have evolved over time.
Two six-hour segments will be devoted during each semester (S3 and S4) to work in the four fields of literature, civilisation, linguistics, and translation studies. Students will be assigned to read research work (15-20 pages for each discipline).
